Commander Brackets

Brackets are a shared language for how strong a deck is, so everyone shows up on the same page. Each theme night lists its bracket — build to match it.

1

Exhibition

Ultra-casual, for the bit

Built around a theme or challenge, not focused on winning. Bring your jankiest, most fun brew — games are slow and silly.

2

Core

Precon-level baseline

Roughly the strength of an out-of-the-box preconstructed deck — the everyday default. No Game Changers, no mass land denial, no chaining extra turns, and no early two-card infinite combos.

3

Upgraded

Beefed-up, still fair

Stronger than a precon, with tuned mana and synergy. May run up to three cards from the official “Game Changers” list. Wins come a bit faster, but it's not cutthroat.

4

Optimized

High-power, no limits

The strongest decks short of competitive — no card restrictions. Fast mana, powerful combos, and efficient win conditions are all on the table. Bring your best.

5

cEDH

Competitive, win to win

Tournament-level Commander: metagame-aware, hyper-efficient, built to win as fast and consistently as possible. Expect turn-3–4 wins and tight interaction.

Based on the official Wizards of the Coast Commander Bracket system. When in doubt, ask the table before the game.
